About Duncrahill Stables
Duncrahill Farm and Stud has been in the Cadzow Family since 1931. Situated in the heart of East Lothian at the foothills of the Lammemuirs the farm comprises of just over 1000 acres of grazing and arable land. Currently we have a 300 suckler cow herd and grow 200 acres of grain. For over 30 years we have been breeding horses for the competition and pleasure market, and for nearly 20 years have had many horses based with us on various forms of livery.
We have a small team of dedicated and experienced staff who will work closely with you to ensure your horse receives the highest level of individual care whilst at Duncrahill. Our staff have many years of experience when it comes to caring for all types of horses. Whether you are looking for a home for your retired companion to live out the rest of their days or an experienced team to care for you injured or convalescing horse, we are able to give you the peace of mind you require. We are also lucky to have many years of experience caring for our own horses in their twilight years, and understand the worries that come with caring for horses that have reached the end of their working lives
At Duncrahill we are fortunate to have the space and facilities to allow all our horses to live out all year round and believe that our older and retired horses benefit from a natural grass retirement.
