Duncrahill Horse Rehabilitation
Duncrahill Stud provides a first class facility to take injured or recovering horses for long or short term box and field rest.
Our farm premises in East Lothian, ideally situated between Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders enables horses to be kept in a range of sizes of boxes or cattle courts, depending on the degree of need or mobility. After the required period of box rest, horses may be turned out to grass in appropriately sized paddocks or fields to continue their rehabilitation.
With excellent veterinary and farrier backup, many horses using this facility at Duncrahill have made a full recovery while suffering no ill-effect or habit-forming vices following what has sometimes been a long confinement.
